Dr. Haidar received her Medical Doctorate from Boston University School of Medicine in 2012 and completed pediatric residency at Children's Hospital of Michigan (2015).
Prior to that, Dr. Haidar earned a Masters of Public Health from Oregon Health and Sciences University (2008) and a Bachelors of Science from Oregon State University with Suma Cum Laude distinction (2007).
Dr. Haidar is dual board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Hospital Medicine with over 8 years of experience caring for hospitalized children in the Detroit area.
Dr. Haidar specializes in treating children admitted to the hospital with a wide range of illnesses, including infections, breathing conditions, stomach and intestinal diseases, and complex neurologic diagnoses requiring multidisciplinary care.
Dr. Haidar communicate effortlessly with medical students, residents, and patients about complex medical issues in easy-to-understand terms. Dr. Haidar has language fluency and proficiency in Arabic and Spanish, respectively, which allows her to better connect with her patients.
Dr. Haidar is a career long educator with academic faculty appointments: Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Central Michigan University, and additional Assistant Professor appointments at Wayne State University and Michigan State University.
Dr. Haidar is a recipient of multiple teaching awards from students and residents. Additionally, she actively serves on various clinical and education committees.
Dr. Haidar has authored numerous research articles in reputable peer-reviewed journals and has taken a leadership role in Quality Improvement projects.
